Kamal Hassan unveils Eenadu team!
Kamal Hassan’s Rajkamal Film International, in collaboration with UTV Motion Pictures officially launched their Unnaipol Oruvan, a remake of A Wednesday in in Chennai on May Day. The entire team consisting of Kamal Hassan, Mohanlal, Chakri, Sruthi and UTV’s Ram Mirchandani were there on the dais. The film is directed by Chakri Toleti, who is from the Florida Film School in USA and has acted with Kamal in Salangai Oli in a very humorous cameo as the boy photographer and also recently in Dasavatharam as the scientist and Kamal’s friend. Shruti Hassan another debutant is being introduced as the music director. The film is being shot with RED cameras in 4K resolutions, and the camera is by Manoj Soni from Mumbai. Thotta Tharini the famous art director who debuted with Kamal Hassan’s Raajapaarvai is the art director of the film. At the meet the press, Kamal said: “We have already completed all my combination scenes with Mohanlal, who has now only to dub for the film. I always wanted to do a film with Mohanlal, it was long overdue and finally I’ am happy it is happening under Raajkamal banner. We will complete the film by May end.” A relaxed Mohanlal said: “It’s a great honour for me to be a part of a Kamal Haasan film. The kind of passion that Kamal sir has for film making is awesome. I really enjoyed working on the film.” Venkatesh is playing the Mohan Lal’s character in the Telugu version of this film
Shah Rukh to replace Aamir?
If reports are to be believed then Shah Rukh will soon have his vendetta on Aamir.According to industry insiders, SRK is replacing his archrival Aamir Khan in Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani’s next. Apparently Ritesh approached Aamir with a film idea on the sets of 3 Idiots. Riding high on his new market value, Aamir refused to agree to whatever Sidhwani offered. He demanded a whopping fee for acting in the film and on the top of that, wanted a percentage share from the movie’s profits. There was no love lost between the producer and the actor, and eventually Sidhwani walked out on Aamir, which is quite ironical since their last venture together with Farhan had delivered the super hit cult film Dil Chahta Hai. Meanwhile, Ritesh did confirm that talks with Aamir had failed but refused to reveal who exactly is going to replace the actor. But since the incident, rumour mills haven’t stopped buzzing that in all probability it’s going to be Shah Rukh Khan. Shah Rukh is anyways a favorite with Farhan , who made Don with King Khan and now plans to make Don 2 with him.

Sexy Apoorva hates ‘aunty’ tag!
Apoorva is a hot actress who is very liberal when it comes to exposing on screen. She has played many ‘vamp’ roles in films. She is also playing role of sister and aunt in many films. Apporva is a middle-aged beauty who continues to attract the men with her well endowed body. Apoorva may be over thirty but she still thinks that she is still in her teens. So when a young director addressed her as ‘aunty’ on the shooting spot, Apoorva hit the roof. Her anger shocked the poor director and he literally fled from the scene. Apoorva told him clearly that she hates to be addressed to as aunty. She said that she was not that ‘old’ to be addressed to as aunty. The director made amends the next day and started called her as ‘Apoorva Madam’.

Namitha loves horses
The buxom babe Namitha is extremely fond of horses. She loves them so much that she is now the proud owner of about 10 horses. The horses are being looked after by her father and other family members. The family of Namitha stays at Surat. Namitha sends money every month for the upkeep and welfare of the horses. She also makes it a point to take some time off to not only visit her parents but also to look after her horses at regular intervals. Namitha may be planning to breed race horses. It is one of the most expensive but lucrative hobby for top people.
Aamir, Shah Rukh lead IIFA nominations
Two of Bollywood’s biggest names, Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan are leading this year’s International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards nominations. The 10th IIFA festival, which begins from May 11 to 13, will be held in Macau, in China. "2009 celebrates a decade of IIFA magic and promises to be yet another enthralling experience to be held at the Venetian Macao," said Amitabh Bachchan, the IIFA brand ambassador while announcing the nominees. Shah Rukh Khan has been nominated for his portrayal of the simpleton Surinder Sahni in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi while Aamir got the nod for his acting in the gory revenge drama Ghajini. Other nominees in the category are Naseeruddin Shah for A Wednesday, Abhishek Bachchan for Dostana , and Hrithik Roshan for Jodhaa Akbar. Interestingly, Abhishek Bachchan has three nominations this year. Best Actor and Best Comic Actor for Dostana, along with Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Sarkaar Raj. While Ghajini and Jodha Akbar have gathered the most nominations with a nod in all the prominent categories including, Best Picture, Direction, Best Actor (Male), Best Actor (Female) and Best Music, other films which have got multiple nominations are A Wednesday, Rock on, Fashion and Race. The nominees in the Best Film category are A Wednesday, Dostana, Ghajini, Jodhaa Akbar, Race and Rock On. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif are in the race for the ’Best Actress’ title along with newcomer Asin, but Anoushka Sharma who made a much hyped debut opposite Shahrukh Khan failed to make it to the list.
Mahesh Babu rejects Jayasudha
According to film nagar sources, Trivikram Srinivas roped initially Jayasudha to star as mother role Mahesh Babu. This proposal was rejected by Mahesh and said that he would not work with Jayasudha and until she was removed from project he kept himself away. So finally director had to remove Jayasudha and replace with other lady.
Allu Arjun - Nose surgery in Apollo Hospital
Allu Arjun paid a visit to Apollo Hospitals yesterday, having inquired about the visit its understood that he had consulted doctors to get a nose job. It seems that many of Arjun’s girl friends have advised him to undergo surgery for a sharp perfect nose to look sexier. It is also said that he too had an idea to shape his nose to add handsome appeal for his personality. So, we may see Allu Arjun with a better nose shortly, say sources.

Brahmy’s health is not supporting
Demand what comedians have now even many hero’s would not have, that is the reason why comedians charge their amounts strictly. A top comedian in a movie to act per hour he charges Rs.3 lakhs, If producer requests then he would come down by another 50,000 and would quote Rs.2.5 lakhs per hour. According to film nagar sources, Barhamy is understood to have charged Rs.50 lakhs for campaigning for Congress party for five days. Apart from this, this comedian creates lot of troubles during shooting, for his lunch what he demands has to be arranged. He demands to get Nellore pot biryani from Srikanya in Panjagutta, like so many demands. This all he would not directly say but would convey it through his makeup man.He comes late and goes home early, though he is good says that his health is no coperating.
I am the next CM says Chiru
The lections are over and the fate of the candidates is sealed in the EVMs. The results will be out only on May 16. All the three major contenders for power in the state, the congress, the TDP and the PRP are confident of coming to power. Each party is coming up with its own figures. While chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy has claimed that his party will bag 230 assembly and 36 Parliament seats, the TDP chief Babu also claimed that the Mahakootami will bag a majority of the seats and come to power. Not to be lagged behind, the Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi too exuded confidence and claimed that his party will bag no less than 160 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats. Chiranjeevi claimed that he will become the new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh come May 16.
Young Tollywood parties hard
It’s not everyday that one gets to see the entire Tolly brigade come together under one roof to let their hair down. The inauguration of On Kitchen and Bar, the latest hip address in Hyderabad, saw the stars come in to wish their colleague Tarun and his friend Sandeep on their latest venture. Putting aside all professional rivalry, actors were seen chatting up one another over drinks and snacks. Ram Charan Tej, Nag Chaitanya and Siddharth looked all set to party till the wee hours, while the pretty ladies like Genelia, Ileana, Reema, Sneha and Kamna proved to be the shutterbugs delight. Apart from being spacious, the pub’s seating arrangement gave the guests enough privacy. The party rocked till the wee hours and stars were seen strolling in even after midnight. It was truly star power on display.

Roja reconciled to defeat?
The high profile Telugu Mahila chief Roja is now surprisingly silent. She fought with her boss the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naiu for a party ticket and managed to contest from Chandragiri. She undertook a high profile campaign and was sure of her victory. But she faced a formidable opponent in the form of minister Galla Aruna Kumari. Aruna Kumari of the congress party gave a tough fight to Roja. It is now being said that Roja may not have done as well as expected and that Aruna Kumari has a clear edge over her. Roja is now facing defeat say political observers in her constituency. It is for this reason that Roja is now maintaining a low profile. She made some sarcastic comments on Aruna Kumari calling her illiterate. But all said and done, Roja seems to have reconciled herself to a defeat at the hustings.
There is a scope for learning her, Sneha Ullal
Why did Sneha head down south after her Bollywood stint? “Telugu is a different language for me. And the southern film industry is very professional. An actress can learn a lot and become a better performer once she starts working here,” she says. So with her hands seemingly full down south, will Sneha go back to Bollywood? “I’m definitely open to Btown offers. But right now, I will first honour the commitments I have in the Telugu industry,” says Sneha. Right now, Sneha is concentrating on her latest Telugu project, the Sushant-starrer Current.
Pawan plays son-in-law!
The elections are finally over and all politicians and actors who campaigned extensively for their respective parties are now taking a well deserved rest. Most of the actors who are used to living in the comfort of AC rooms had a hard time out in the open sun. Some of the actors took ill and fainted during their road shows and had to be hospitalized due to exhaustion and sun stroke. Pawan Kalyan was the second leader from the PRP after his brother Chiranjeevi, who campaigned extensively for the party. Pawan was on the road on and off for almost three months. Pawan Kalyan is now taking a break and he is reported to have gone to his in-laws place to take some rest and rejuvenate. It may be mentioned here that Pawan Kalyan married his long time companion Renu Desai only recently. He has a son named Akira Nandan. Pawan Kalyan’s fans as well as producer and director of ‘Komaram Puli’ want him to report for work as soon as possible and complete the much delayed film.
Mallika’s secret marriage
The hot sex siren of Bollywood Mallika Sherawat is the dream girl for many young men and even old men. She is now concentrating on her Hollywood career than in films in Bollywood. But not many know that Maillika Sherawat is actually a married girl. She married a pilot long before she entered films. Her husband did not like the idea of Mallika entering films. But Mallika was adamant. She was smitten by the glitzy world of cinema and so went out on her journey of acquiring name and fame. She just divorced her husband. Mallika’s parents and other family members too are opposed to her filmy ways. But she has kept them at a distance. Mallika is now spending most of her time in the US trying her luck in Hollywood.
Pitt dumped Aniston over lesbian fears
Making a rather surprising revelation, an investigative celebrity blogger and biographer has claimed that Brad Pitt dumped Jennifer Aniston because he thought she was a lesbian. Writing on his blog, Ian Halperin, revealed that a source named Toni (who is reportedly a friend of Angelina Jolie) said Pitt started dating Jolie because his marriage to former ‘ Friends’ star wasn’t fulfilling enough. Halperin also claimed that the ‘ Troy ’ star finally pulled the string on his relationship with Aniston because she never wanted to have sex with him. “Brad likes to have sex a lot and Jennifer never wanted to sleep with him,” The Daily Telegraph quoted Toni as saying. He added: “He started to speculate that she was gay, though he never caught her with another woman or anything like that. He was very frustrated for a long time. Then he met Angelina, who is insatiable in bed, and the rest is history.” He further revealed that stories about Jennifer not wanting kids were just a ploy by Jolie to justify the affair. The insider said: “Brad always said that was a lie. Jen actually was ready to settle down and have kids the day Friends wrapped. That’s not why he left her. He really did love Jen but she just wasn’t fulfilling his needs.
Krish Directing Mahesh Babu in 2010
The grapevine in the industry is that Krish is going to direct Mahesh Babu in the year 2010. The film is still untitled and it’s going to be a multi-starrer as per the initial sources. MS Raju is going to produce the movie where Siddarth and Allari Naresh may join with Mahesh Babu on screen. Krish has carved a story line that gives equal importance for all three characters. On the other hand he is also planning to groove in a song in the lines of multi-heroine number in King. But Krish has plans to make that with four big heroes those are called the pillars of Tollywood. He can try Balayya, Nag and Venkatesh but Chiru may not be available for him, say sources. Let us wait to know more about this project. Right now Krish is busy with a small film titled Vedam.
Kick on 8 May
The release date of Kick film is postponed a day from 7 April to 8 April. This film features Ravi Teja, Shyam (12B fame) and Ileana in main leads. Surender Reddy (Athanokkade fame) directs this action based entertainer that is extensively shot in Malaysia. Venkat produces this movie on RR Moviemakers banner
Krishna Vamsi to direct Ravi Teja
Krishna Vamsi is going to direct Ravi Teja soon. This film will be produced by Bellamkonda Suresh on Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner. Uppalapati Ravi will act as executive producer. This film will be launched in June/July 2009.
